Forest bathing, also known as shinrin-yoku, originated in Japan in the 1980s as a way to combat stress and reconnect with nature. This practice involves being present and allowing the senses to “bathe” in the gifts of the natural world. There has been significant research that shows a clear link between mindful time spent outdoors and positive impacts for our mental health.
Join Jenny Iodko, LPC for a guided forest bathing session including education on the evidence that supports this practice, an immersive forest bathing experience, prompts to helped deepen participants practice, and a supportive group session to reflect and close.
Spring time in the mountains can be unpredictable! Please come prepared with appropriate shoes and clothing for whatever the weather has in store, along with a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, etc.
This is a free event, however donations are welcome and accepted. This event will be limited to 12 people total.
